Makerspace
The Makerspace in the Briggs District Library is a place for people of all ages to create, innovate, learn, and collaborate. The space is used for library STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Mathematics) and Maker programs, with tools that can be used by the public during weekly open hours or after completing item-specific training and signing a Makerspace Agreement Form.
One of the highlights of the Makerspace is the library’s 3D printer. The public may submit files for 3D Printing which can then be picked up at the Library Circulation Desk (see our 3D Printer Policy for guidelines and information and use our 3D Print Request Form to submit files for 3D printing). The Makerspace also houses a Cricut machine, a sewing machine, an Ellison die cutting machine and a large selection of dies, and VR headsets.
