Get a book through interlibrary loan?

Use these steps below to order an item we do not own from another library.

How to order an item through interlibrary loan

Visit mel.org

If we do not own the item you are looking for, you can try to get it through MeLCat, the statewide interlibrary loan system.

After locating your item in MeLCat, you can request it using your library card number on the back of your library card — be sure to include the letter ‘p’ before the five-digit number (p12345).

Usually, within 7-10 days, your requested item will arrive at our library, and you will be notified by staff when it has been processed and ready for pick up.

Visit MyMeLCat to see what MeLCat materials you currently have checked out, check the status of requests, cancel requests, and renew MeLCat items.
